Play on the Bay in Puerto Vallarta
Every morning when you wake up in your Puerto Vallarta Luxury Villa Rental, you're going to face a challenge. It's not scary; in fact, it's a great problem to have. You're going to have to decide which of a hundred different activities you want to enjoy for the day. One way or another, you're probably going to spend at least one day playing in Banderas Bay, the largest natural bay in Mexico.
Sails on the Water
There are dozens of ways you can enjoy the bay, and many of them suppose you don't want to put on a mask and fins. Some people want nothing more than to flop down on a towel or beach chair and soak in the rays, or perhaps loll around in the shade of a beach palapa beside a bucket of iced beverages. They are happy to sit there all day ' until the water works its magic and they get the urge to submerge.
When you get the call, you'll find lots of activities that will get you wet as you try to stay dry on Banderas Bay. One sure-fire soaking experience is wind surfing. It's true, this is a surface sport, at least in theory. If you're new to the sport, though, you might as well accept that theory is theory, and you're going to get wet. There are many good surf spots around the bay, although the wind is rumored to be best at the bay's north end. Many surf shops will rent gear to you, and no matter when you're visiting, you can enjoy the wind and waves throughout the year.
Glide Through the Waves with the Greatest of Ease
You also stand a chance of staying somewhat dry when you approach the bay in a sea kayak. The southern portion of the bay is good for this activity, as the wind and waves tend to be calmer there. Rent a kayak and glide through the clear water in company with sea turtles, tropical fishes and other watery creatures. If you're not certain of your kayaking abilities, you can always join a kayak tour that includes lunch and a knowledgeable guide.
No doubt about it, Banderas Bay is the focal point of any visit to Puerto Vallarta; in fact, you can probably see the bay from the patio of your Puerto Vallarta Luxury Villa Rental. Look closely and you'll see the adventurous folks living it up, having fun on the bay. Don't be a stick in the sand; put on your sun block and flotation device and join them. You won't regret it.
